Ministry of Youth and Sports had celebrated the World Youth Skills Day (WYSD) on 15th July 2021 through the conduct of webinar with the theme of Global TVET and STEM Empowerment in Malaysia.

WYSD is celebrated worldwidely and this year’s global theme is about “Reimagining Youth Skills Post Pandemic”.

The webinar was officiated by YB Dato’ Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican, Minister of Youth and Sports Malaysia and Closing Remarks was delivered by YB Senator Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Malaysia.

The webinar was presented with good speakers with respective contemporary topics namely:

i) UK TVET for Global Skills Development by Mr. Jonathan Ledger

ii) Industry-Readiness Training in the 4th Industrial Revolution by Mr. David Leow

iii) Youth Skills Development in Japanese Industry by Mr. Miyasaka Tomoyuki.

The webinar was also presented by good online forum in the afternoon session discussing on The Diversity of Malaysian Youth Skills Development for Industry-Driven. The panelists were:

i) Mr. Mohd Zaidi Sharif of MRL

ii) Prof. Ts. Shamsul Kamar Abu Samah of NAICO

iii) Dr. Aliff Radzuan Mohd Radzi of UniKL
